4. Before assembling the connecting rods, pump
EFA Special Grease (50) with grease gun (50a)
through grease nipple (13) of eccentric shaft
(12) until clean grease emerges at needle bear-
ing (15).
5. All running surfaces in the dehider head:
Grease housing (1) and gear box (27)
Bearing cover (21) and blade cover (8)
Connecting arms with holder pins (16) and (17)
Bearing race (3) and ondular spring (7)
Blade bushings (6) of the dehider blades (5)
with EFA Special Grease (50)!!
6. Assembly of the dehider is the reverse of the
disassembly procedure (Fig. 12 - 14)

Tightening torque for item 45: 2.9 Nm.
If the drive power decreases:
Clean the buffer ring (46) in white spirits and
blow out.
Check the wear of the rotor slide.
6.3.1 Lubricant specification
Grease the EFA 620 only with the EFA Special
Grease 001 365 618 supplied (Molykote Longterm
W2)! A thin film of grease is sufficient.
6.3.2 Recommended cleaning agents
Diversey Lever Tego 2000: Surface-active disin-
fectant
Diversey Lever GmbH

P3-topax 91: Surface-active disinfectant

The above cleaning agents are only a recommenda-
tion; if other cleaning agents are used, the customer
should examine the material compatibility and the
compliance with the hygiene regulations.

7. Maintenance and repair

7.1 Maintenance

Always switch off the air dehider
and disconnect it from the com-
pressed air network before main-
tenance work.
Maintenance work may only be
carried out by authorised special-
ist personnel.
Pneumatic motor and gear box:
Every 3 months, but at least 4x per year, clean com-
pletely and replace worn and/or defective parts.
After 400 operating hours, the rotor slides must be
replaced (see assembly instructions).
