3.1.3 Connection of the air dehider
Installation work may only be
carried out by authorised special-
ist personnel.
Switch off the device before con-
necting to the compressed air
supply!
Procedure
1. The air dehider is delivered ex works in a condi-
tion ready for operation.
2. Connect the air dehider with a compressed air
hose (accessory Art. No. 001 366 902) to an air
conditioner ( special accessory). Connect the air
conditioner in the following sequence:Water
trap – pressure gauge – oiler.
Set with the device running to:
P = 6 bar; 2-3 drops of oil per minute
If the compressed air connection is not made cor-
rectly and with a high water content in the com-
pressed air, there is a possibility of water escaping
at the connection point. Therefore pay attention to
correct connection of the hose and to a low water
content in the compressed air (empty the water trap
at regular intervals).
The water trap does not form part of the machine
and has to be installed upline of the machine.
If no dried compressed air is available, a water ab-
sorber has to be provided by the customer.

3.2 Switch operation

The dehider

connection to the power supply!
The air dehider is provided with a valve lever for
regulating the compressed air current.

The machine can be switched on and off at any
time.

3.3 Working with the air dehider

Wear eye protection or safety
goggles when working with the
dehider!
3.3.1 Working procedure
Preparation
Before putting the dehider into operation, check the
ratings of the compressed air supply and of the de-
vice for correspondence.
Before starting work, also check whether:
1. The air dehider is functional.
2. The general safety precautions Chapter 2.1
"General safety precautions" (p. 15) have been
observed.
Working
Position the air dehider with the blade side flat
between the fatty layer and the skin and push
the air dehider along the skin away from your-
self.
When interrupting work, place the air dehider
flat to one side so that it is not resting on the
handle and the machine cannot fall over. During
prolonged stoppages in work, disconnect the
machine from the compressed air network.
3.3.2 Work safety
Air dehider
Work particularly carefully when the machine is
switched on.
Never press the trigger handle when the
machine is not in operation.
After switching off, the air dehider comes to an
immediate standstill.
