caused by incorrect connection or con-
necting too many units to an RLS 45 O/K.
Connect units in accordance with wiring dia-
gram. Observe permissible number of venti-
lation units per room air control/power unit.

Danger of electric shock if the 12 V low vol-
tage and 230 V are not disconnected or are
insufficiently disconnected. Ensure a safety
distance between 230 V and 12 V cables
(SELV). Ensure minimum distance of 8 mm.

Danger of electric shock if the 230 V input
of the PP 45 RC, PPB 30 RC and the RLS
45 O/K controller is incorrectly connected.
Ensure a phase balance between all compo-
nents connected to the ventilation system.

Danger of electric shock from installing
the RLS 45 O and RLS 45 K inside the
protective zone. No IP protection present
(IP 00). The room air control may only be
installed outside protective zones 0, 1 or 2.

Danger of electric shock if the ventilation
units are installed within the protection
zone. The units may only be installed in the
specified protection zones in accordance with
the IP degree of protection. Use PP 45 only
outside protections zones 0, 1 and 2. Use
PPB 30 O/K only outside of protection zone
0. Use PPB 30 RC only outside of protection
zones 0 and 1.
When wiring several ventilation units,

always use a deep/double recessed-
mounted box (recessed-mounted box
provided by customer).

in Chapter 9.6.
Wired systems
An RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K master room air
control can have a maximum of 3 further
power units and/or slave room air controls of
a similar design added to it.
A maximum of 4 control units can therefore be
deployed in this ventilation system.
You can only combine room air con-
i
trols of the same type (either RLS 45 O
or RLS 45 K).
The RLS 45 K controls and all other room air
controls/power units are connected via the
RS 485 interface.
If further room air controls are connect-
i
ed, these must be defined as slaves in
service mode  Operating instructions
or commissioning instructions.
The relevant ventilation units are connected to
the relevant room air controls. The ventilation
units on an RLS 45 O/K are generally con-
nected directly to the Fan1 and Fan2 terminal
block.
Radio-controlled systems with RLS 45 K
control and radio module PP 45 EO
With this device combination, radios can be
coupled with wired units.

To install the room air control, we always recom-
mend using a deep recessed-mounted box.
If connecting more than two units, we recom-
mend wiring in a double flush-mounted box or
in an additional flush-mounted box.
PPB 30 ventilation units are not suita-

ble for use with PP 45 LT power units.
