the conditions listed below. Mains leads for
connecting lawn mowers must have rubber insulation
sheaths.
The mains leads must be at least type H05RN-F and
have three wires. The type designation must be
printed on the mains lead. Only buy mains leads that
have their type data printed on them. The plugs and
connection sockets on mains leads must be made of
rubber and be splashproof. Mains leads are subject
to length restrictions. Long mains leads require larger
cable cross-sections. Mains leads and connection
cables must be checked at regular intervals for signs
of damage. Ensure that the leads are not connected
to the power supply when you check them. Uncoil
the mains lead in full. Also check the mains lead
connection points at plugs and connection sockets
for kinks.
The lawn mower if designed for use in private
gardens.
Lawn mowers for use in private gardens are mowers
whose annual use does not generally exceed 50
hours and that are primarily used for tending grass or
lawn areas, but not in public facilities, parks or sports
grounds and not for agricultural or forestry use.
Compliance with the operating manual supplied by
the manufacturer is a prerequisite for the proper
usage of the lawn mower. The operating manual
contains servicing and maintenance instructions as
well as directions for use.
Important. As a result of the potential danger to the
user, the lawn mower must not be used to trim
bushes, hedges and shrubs, to cut or shred climbing
plants or lawns on roof gardens or in balcony boxes
or to clean footpaths, nor must it be used as a
chopper for shredding tree or hedge cuttings.
Furthermore, the lawn mower must not be used as a
cultivator or to level off uneven areas of ground, e.g.
molehills.
For safety reasons the lawn mower must not be used
as a power unit for other tools and tool sets of any
type unless the manufacturer expressly approves
such use.

4. Assembling the lawn mower

The lawn mower is delivered unassembled. The
complete push bar and the grass collector must be
assembled before using the lawn mower. Follow the

pictures as a visual guide to help with assembling the
machine.
Mounting the push bar (see Figs. 2 to 4)
Take the lower push bar brackets and place them in
the holes provided in the lawn mower housing (Fig.
2). Using the button-headed screws provided (A), the
corresponding star grips (B) and the plastic guide
(C), attach the top push bar to the push bar brackets
(Fig. 3). The cable grip (A) should be fitted first (Fig.
3).
Then affix the lower push bar brackets in the mower
housing using the screws provided (Fig. 4).
The cable then has to be affixed to the push bar
together with the cable holders.
Mounting the switch/plug block (see Figs. 5 and
6)
Place the switch/plug block on the push bar (Fig. 5)
and secure it with the two recessed head screws
(Fig. 6).
Mounting the grass collector (see Figs. 7 to 9)
Push the grass collector (A) onto the collector frame
(B). Then secure the collector on the collector frame
using the Velcro fasteners (Fig. 8). To fit the collector
open the ejector flap with one hand and hang the
collector on the mower housing (Fig. 9).
5. Adjusting the cutting heights
Important. The cutting height may only be adjusted
after the motor has been switched off and the plug
disconnected from the power supply.
Before you start using the mower check that the
cutting tool is not blunt and its fastenings are not
damaged. Replace blunt and/or damaged cutting
tools to ensure that you do not create an imbalance.
Switch off the motor and disconnect the plug from
the power supply to carry out this check.
The cutting heights are adjusted directly on the
wheels (see Fig. 10).
Three different cutting heights can be selected. Turn
the hub caps anticlockwise in order to remove the
wheels. The wheels can then be mounted at the
desired cutting height.
Cutting height 1 = 28 mm
Cutting height 2 = 43 mm
Cutting height 3 = 58 mm
When mowing, all the wheels should be set at the
same height.
