Name and Function of Parts

Front panel

a AUDIO IF connector
Used for connecting the CBK-55BK to the PMW-F55/F5.
b MIC IN (microphone input) (+48 V) connector
(XLR type, 5-pin, female)
Connect a stereo microphone to this connector. The power
(+48 V) is supplied via this connector.
c Rod lock lever
Used when attaching or removing Φ 15 rods.
When attaching rods, rotate the lever to lock them in place.
Whenever the lever is in a position that makes it difficult
to rotate, pull the lever out sideways and turn it to a better
position before pushing it back to continuing rotating.
Note
Do not turn the rod lock lever forcefully when the rods are
not attached.
d Φ 15 rods
Used to attach the matte box, follow focus, and other
accessories.
e Operating section (front) (See "Operating section
(front).")
f Audio operating section (See "Audio operating
section.")
g Protection cover of the audio operating section
Open to access the audio operating section (see page 34).
h Expansion IF connector
Used for connecting the CBK-55BK to the PMW-F55/F5.
i Operating section (side) (See "Operating section

j Rosette mounts (left and right)
Used for attaching generic hand grips.
k Tripod mount
Attach the tripod adaptor (optional) when using the CBK-
55BK on a tripod.
