3-7. Alarm signal

The alarm signal is output in the following cases.
. When the signal from the encoder has exceeded the
maximum response frequency
. When the SIN-COS signal level from the encoder drops
below a specified value
. When the unit malfunctions due to external noise or other
cause
When an alarm occurs, the alarm lamp turns on, and the AL
output becomes high, and *AL output becomes low. PCA,
*PCA, PCB, and *PCB output become high impedance at
this time.

3-7-1. Alarm reset mode

The alarm can be changed to the following two modes by
setting OPTION switch 6 (alarm mode switch).
Automatic reset mode
The alarm signal is output for approximately 400 ms. The
alarm is automatically reset after approximately 400 ms if
the cause of the alarm is cleared within this time. If the cause
of the alarm is not cleared within approximately 400 ms, it
will be reset once the cause of the alarm has been cleared.
This mode is the default setting.
Hold mode
When an alarm signal is output, it is continuously output even
after the cause of the alarm is cleared. The alarm is reset
when the power is turned off and then on again if the cause
of the alarm has been cleared.
