3-3-3. Output phase difference

The output phase difference for the MJ500, MJ600, and
MJ700 changes continuously from the minimum phase
difference at a width of N x 100 ns (N: integer) according to
the travel speed of the encoder.
Refer to Fig. 3-1 for the definition of phase difference.
n
. In some cases, the connected receiver may not be able to
receive the signal since the minimum phase difference of
the A/B phase signal is so short.
Be sure to use a travel speed for the encoder that the
receiver is able to handle.
. An alarm is generated when the A/B phase signal phase
difference drops below the setting value. The setting value
can be selected from four preset choices using the option
switches. Refer to "3-5. Setting the output signal minimum
phase difference."

3-3-4. Direction switching

MODE switch 5 (direction switch) can be used to change the
phase relationship of the A/B phase output signal with respect
to the travel direction of the encoder.
If the SIN signal and COS signal of the encoder are input to
the SIN and COS of the interpolator, the A phase is the leading
phase when the switch is set to ON, and the B phase is the
leading phase when the switch is OFF.
