4. Handling

4.4 Changeover of the temperature indication

Simultaneous pressing of the "SENS" and "On/Off" buttons in the switched-
on mode lets you change between the degree celsius and degree fahrenheit
indications.

4.5 Battery voltage

When the necessary battery voltage is undercut, there appears a battery sym-
bol in the display.In this case, the battery must be replaced.
Defective or flat batteries or accumulators can be disposed of both at the
works and at the collection point of the public body responsible for waste dis-
posal, or at the selling location for batteries and accumulators.
4.6 Note on care
The sensitivity of the TI 410 depends very strongly on the condition of the
sensor plate. If the sensor plate is dirtied, the sensitivity is lowered strongly.
Use a cloth dampened with aceton for cleaning. The cleaning must be care-
fully done so that the temperature sensor is not damaged. Hand contact with
the sensor plate should be minimised as much as possible.

4.7 Error messages

5. Information on disposal

You may hand in any defective batteries taken out of the unit to our company
as well as to recycling places of public disposal systems or to selling points
of new batteries or storage batteries.
In the European Union, electronic equipment does not belong into domestic
waste but - in accordance with Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Parlia-
ment and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on Waste Electrical and Electro-
nic Equipment - must be disposed of in an expert manner. If you do no longer
need this unit, please dispose of it in accordance with the applicable statutory
provisions.
