7.3 Encoder, solid shaft with keyway

The shaft encoder with keyway is fastened with at least three M3 screws through the
threaded holes provided in the flange; the screws must be tightened with a torque of 1
Nm and secured against loosening. The shaft must be connected with the drive by means
of a tolerance compensation element and secured against loosening. When fastening the
shaft with keyway, the user or the installation company that mounts the encoder must
make sure that the fastening method complies with the safety requirements in force.
