achieving a good delivery of coffee. If the ground coffee
is too fine or the quantity is too great, the coffee will
flow too slowly, while if it is too coarse or the quantity
is too little, the coffee will flow too quickly.
9.9. E xpansion valve adjustment (pump pressure)
Beneath the front panel, near the spout of the
water/steam nozzle, there is a knob to adjust the valve.
Turning the knob regulates the pressure of the coffee
delivery pump. To adjust the pressure, do the following:
Fill the coffee holder with the correct degree and
quantity of ground coffee.
Attach the filter holder and start coffee delivery.
Wait until the pressure gauge displays a stable
pressure value and then turn the valve adjustment
knob.
Turn in a clockwise direction to lower the pressure
in the circuit and anti-clockwise to increase the
pressure in the circuit.
It is recommended to set the pressure in the circuit to
between 9 and 10 Bar.
10. PROGRAMMES
10.1. Description of the keys
T1: Single coffee dose delivery key.
T2: Double coffee dose delivery key.
T3: Steam delivery push-button.
T4: Hot water delivery push-button
T5: Grinder key (only mod. 3135/3145).
Supplying power to the machine through a main circuit
breaker, the device activates the LEDs corresponding to
the keys, in alternation, for 4 seconds until a
programme key is pressed.
To enter programming mode, it is necessary to press
and hold one of the T1/T2/T3/T4 keys within the first 4
seconds in relation to the setting to be modified.
10.2. Pre-infusion
After pressing the T1 key for a few seconds, it will
be possible to enable/disable the pre-infusion
function.
LED ON - enabled. Press T3 to disable.
LED OFF -disabled. Press T3 to enable.
All LEDs flash three times to indicate the setting has
been successfully saved.
The pre-infusion function improves coffee extraction.
Deliver water for 2 seconds to soak the coffee in the
filter holder and begin coffee delivery after a moment's
pause.
10.3. Stand-by
After pressing the T1 key for a few seconds, it will
be possible to enable/disable the stand-by
function.
LED ON - enabled. Press T4 to disable.
LED OFF -disabled. Press T4 to enable.
All LEDs flash three times to indicate the setting has
been successfully saved.
The stand-by function switches the machine off 15
minutes after the last delivery as a measure to save
energy. When the machines switches to stand-by, the
LEDs corresponding to the push-buttons light up in
sequence. Simply press the T1 key to restart the
machine.
10.4. Programming the dose
After pressing the T2 key for a few seconds, it will
be possible to program the doses for delivery.
Press the T1 key to begin delivery of the single
coffee dose and press again when the desired
quantity has been reached. During programming,
the LED corresponding to the key will flash.
Press the T2 key to begin delivery of the double
coffee dose and press again when the desired
quantity has been reached. During programming,
the LED corresponding to the key will flash.
Press the T3 key to begin steam delivery and press
again when the desired quantity has been reached.
During programming, the LED corresponding to the
key will flash. Delivery will not begin until the
required temperature has been reached.
Press the T4 key to begin water delivery and press
again when the desired quantity has been reached.
During programming, the LED corresponding to the
key will flash.
All LEDs flash three times to indicate the setting has
been successfully saved.
By changing the adjustment of the expansion valve
(section
9.9),
the
dose
programmed may not be the same. It is recommended
to adjust the valve and the grind before programming
the doses.
10.5. Programming the coffee circuit temperature
(factory setting 107°C)
After pressing the T3 key for a few seconds, set the
operating temperature of the coffee circuit.
Press key T2 to increase the temperature.
Press key T4 to decrease the temperature.
The LEDs will light up based on the operating
temperature, as shown in the following table
