- Please follow the instructions in Chapter 7.1 "Material resistance".
- In addition, please follow the hygiene regulations of the hospital or the
medical practice.
6.4.1 Cleaning / disinfection
Clean and disinfect immediately after use. Ideally, a mechanical procedure
(instrument disinfector) should be used.
• Prepare the cleansing process and disinfection as described in Chapter 6.2
"Preparation".
Any suitable cleaner/disinfectant can be used.
Recommended procedure: thermal disinfection
• Place the nebuliser components in the instrument disinfector.
• Select the 93°C program (treatment time 10 minutes).
The effectiveness of this procedure has been proven using a G7836 CD dis-
infector produced by Miele with neodisher
Fabrik Dr. Weigert, Hamburg.
Recommended procedure: manual cleaning/disinfection
The effectiveness of this procedure has been proven using the Korsolex
Endo-Cleaner cleaning agent in combination with the Korsolex
fectant made by BODE CHEMIE HAMBURG.
• The components must be placed in a 0.5% solution of Korsolex
Cleaner and approx. 50°C warm water, and cleaned thoroughly for 5 min-
utes.
• The components are then placed in a 4% disinfectant solution of Kor-
®
solex basic for 15 minutes.
• Then thoroughly rinse the nebuliser components under hygienically tested
water and leave them to dry completely on a clean, dry and absorbent sur-
face (for at least 4 hours).
Possible alternative: chemical-thermal disinfection
• Place the nebuliser components in the instrument disinfector.
• Add a suitable cleaner/ disinfectant and select the 60°C program.
Storage
• Between uses, wrap the nebuliser in a clean, lint-free cloth and keep it in a
dry, dust-free place protected from contamination.
