PARI LC SPRINT Junior (nozzle attachment: yellow)
The PARI LC SPRINT Junior nebuliser produces a finer droplet spectrum and
is therefore particularly suitable for the anatomically smaller respiratory tracts
of children and infants. For infants who are not yet able to inhale through a
mouthpiece (up to approx. 4 years of age), the BABY bend and a BABY mask
are recommended accessories (the BABY bend and a size 2 BABY mask are
included in the PARI JuniorBOY S and LC SPRINT Junior packages, for other
mask sizes see Chapter 9 "Replacement sets, replacement parts and acces-
sories"). The PARI BABY bend can be rotated to any angle, thus enabling
inhalation while the baby is sitting up or lying down.
PARI LC SPRINT STAR (nozzle attachment: red)
The PARI LC SPRINT STAR nebuliser has an extremely fine droplet spec-
trum for targeted administration of medication to the deep respiratory tract
(peripheral area) of the lung. It is suitable for use by adults and children (aged
3-4 years and older) who can already inhale through the mouthpiece. This
nebuliser is recommended for the treatment of disorders of small respiratory
tracts.
The PARI LC SPRINT STAR nebuliser is equipped additionally with a peak
inspiratory flow control (PIF Control System). This enables an optimum quan-
tity of the medication to be deposited in the lung. The PIF Control System is
an integral part of the nebuliser (see figure A, 8) and ensures that a flow rate
of approx. 25l/min. is not exceeded during inhalation. If the patient feels
increased resistance when inhaling, this is an indication that he is breathing in
too quickly. In this case, the integral PIF Control System automatically reduces
the inhalatory flow to about 25l/min.
PARI LC SPRINT BABY (nozzle attachment: red)
The PARI LC SPRINT BABY has an exceptionally fine droplet spectrum, thus
enabling efficient inhalation therapy with medication aerosols for the anatom-
ically very small respiratory tracts of babies. It is equipped with a soft PARI
BABY mask made from latex-free silicone and a PARI BABY bend. The PARI
BABY nebuliser is available in 4 variants, each equipped with a BABY bend
and one of 4 different sizes of BABY mask (see Chapter 9 "Replacement sets,
replacement parts and accessories"). The size of the BABY mask is matched
to the age of the child in each case. The PARI BABY bend can be rotated to
any angle, thus enabling inhalation while the baby is sitting up or lying down.
