Maintenance
CAUTION
Electronics repairs must only be performed by trained electricians, following the safety
regulations of the professional association VB G 4 and ZH 1/11)!
CAUTION
Before calibration, maintenance, repairs or replacement of parts, the device must be
disconnected from all voltage sources if it is necessary to open up the device.
NOTE
The following inspections are recommended:
@ Suction pipes and pressure pipes for leak-free connections
@ Suction valve and pressure valve (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Pos.
for dirt and impermeability.
@ Discharge connection (see chapter
on the pump head (for diaphragm breakage).
@ Correct metering
@ Union nut (see chapter 6.1.2, Fig. 6.6, Pos.
@ Metering head screws (see chapter 8.3, Fig. 8.3, Pos. 2) (stable seat, 3 - 4 Nm)
NOTE
8.1
Replacing the suction / return valve and pressure valve
@ Disassemble suction and pressure valve (see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, Pos. 6,
with a crescent wrench (SW 22).
NOTE
@ Assemble all the O-rings.
@ Screw in the suction valve and pressure valve in the correct position
(see chapter 5.1, Fig. 5.1, pos. 6,

Prior to repair and maintenance work and metering of dangerous media, always rinse the
metering head, relieve the pressure pipe and wear protective clothing (protective goggles,
gloves and apron).
When opening the covers or removing parts, except when this is possible without tools,
voltage-carrying parts may be exposed. Connection points may also be under live
voltages.
The maintenance interval is quarterly. Shorter intervals are recommended in the event of
heavy loads (e.g. continuous use).
The life of the diaphragm depends on:
·
backpressure
·
operating temperature
·
metering medium.
It is recommended to inspect the diaphragm more frequently in extreme operating
conditions or if abrasive substances are metered.
Please observe, that the valve spring (pos. I) at pressure valve, valve-ball (pos. II) and the
o-ring (pos. III) are not lost and installed in the right direction at the pressure valve
(see chapter 8.2, Fig. 8.2, Pos. 7).
On the suction valves and flow valves, the flow direction is
marked with an engraved arrow.
When inserting it, always ensure that the valves are inserted
according to the flow direction!
