6.4 Recovery process
!
All data and programs on the hard disk will be
erased during the recovery process.
1. Connect the KTS 350 to the power supply unit.
2. Connect the external DVD drive to the KTS 350 by
way of the USB connecting cable.
3. Connect the USB keyboard to the KTS 350.
4. Switch on the KTS 350.
5. Insert the recovery DVD 1 687 005 134 into the DVD
drive.
6. Switch off the KTS 350.
7. Switch on the KTS 350 again.
 The following message is displayed:
for boot options.
8. Press <ESC> on the USB keyboard.
 The following message is displayed:
pressed. Go to boot options
 After 5 seconds the boot menu „Front page" is
opened.
9. Select "Boot Manager" with u.
10. Press E.
11. Select "EFI USB Device <SlimtypeeBAU108 6 L>"
with u.
12. Press E.
 The boot process is started.
 The following message is displayed:
really want to recover your computer?
13. Confirm <Yes> with E.
14. The following message is displayed:
DATA ON HARD DISK DRIVE C: WILL BE LOST.
Please be patient while recovery process
is running. Proceed with recovering?
15. Confirm <Yes> with E.
 KTS 350 Recovery is started, duration approx.
40 minutes.
16. The following message is displayed:
key to continue ...
17. Take the recovery DVD out of the DVD drive.
18. Remove external DVD drive.
19. Press E.
 The KTS 350 is switched off.
20. Switch on the KTS 350.
 Windows is re-started.
 After approx. 5 minutes the window "Hi there" is
displayed.
21. Configure the operating system (see in sec. 4.3).
22. Remove the USB Keyboard.

This completes the recovery process.

¶
If the KTS 350 (KTS 3a Series) is passed on, all the
documentation included in the scope of delivery must
be handed over together with the unit.
¶
The KTS 350 (KTS 3a Series) is only ever to be
transported in the original or equivalent packaging.
¶
Unplug the electrical connection.
¶
Heed the notes on initial commissioning.

1. Disconnect the KTS 350 (KTS 3a Series) from the
mains and detach the power cord.
Press Esc 2. Dismantle the KTS 350 (KTS 3a Series) and sort out
and dispose of the different materials in accordance
with the applicable regulations.

and packaging should be sorted for

European directive 2012/19/EC (WEEE).
Dispose of used electrical and electronic
devices, including cables, accessories and
batteries, separately from household waste.

Make use of the local return and collection
systems for disposal.

Proper disposal of KTS 350 (KTS 3a Series)
prevents environmental pollution and
possible health hazards.
