Connecting and installing hoses assemblies
• Connect hoses so that mechanical, thermal and chemical stresses are avoided:
 mechanical stress: e.g. do not pull the hose assembly over sharp edges
 thermal effect: e.g. avoid open flames, radiant heat
 chemical effect: e.g. avoid grease, oil, caustic substances
• Install hose assemblies so that they are not under tension (no bending and tensile strains
or torsion).
• Install hose assemblies so that their connections cannot loosen unintentionally.
• Connections to the pressure regulator with 90° outlet prevent the hose assembly from
being kinked.
Observe the applicable national installation regulations for LPG systems.

LEAK TESTING

Serious burns to the skin or material damage.
Do not use an open flame to check for leaks!
The liquefied gas unit must be checked for leaks by an expert* before the first start-up, during
checking and maintenance work, before the re-start and after important changes and repair
work. See USER QUALIFICATION!*
Observe EN 1949 and, in Germany, DVGW worksheet G 607.
Observe EN ISO 10239 and, in Germany, DVGW worksheet G 608.
1. Close all shut-off fittings on the connected consumption equipment.
2. Open the gas cylinder valve on the operating side and reserve side.
3. Read the pressure on both pressure gauges and close the gas cylinders again.
4. Spray all screw connections on the hose assembly/assemblies,
gas cylinder valves on the product and others with a foam producing
substance according to EN 14291 (e.g. leak detector spray,
order no. 02 601 00).
5. Check the leak-tightness by seeing whether bubbles form in the foam-producing
substance.
6. If the pressure gauges still show the same pressure after 5 minutes, the gas system
is sealed.
leaks cannot be stopped then the product must not be used.
Observe the applicable national installation regulations for LPG systems.

START-UP

After the product has been ASSEMBLED and LEAK TESTING has been carried out
successfully, it is immediately ready for operation.
All shut-off fittings on the connected devices must be closed.
1. Connect the gas cylinder(s) and check the hoses.
2. Slowly open the gas cylinder valve(s).
3. Observe the assembly and operating instructions of the connected devices.
If you open the gas cylinder valves too quickly, this may result in a short-term
pressure increase, which causes the pressure relief valve PRV to respond.

Risk of burns or fire!
If more bubbles form, re-tighten the connections (see ASSEMBLY). If the
