5.1.7
Fuses and cable cross−sections
The data of the fuses and cable cross−sections mentioned in these Operating
ƒ
Instructions are recommendations and refer to the use
– in control cabinets and machines
– installation in the cable duct
– max. ambient temperature +40 °C.
When selecting the cable cross−section, please consider the voltage drop under load.
ƒ
Protection of the cables on the AC side (L1, L2, L3):
ƒ
– By normal fuses.
– Fuses in UL−conform systems must have UL approval.
– The rated voltages of the fuses must be dimensioned according to the mains
voltage of the application.
Protection of the regenerative power supply on the DC side (+UG, −UG) by means of
ƒ
the recommended DC fuses.
When connecting a braking for safety shutdown:
ƒ
– The fuses and cross−sections mentioned in these Operating Instructions do not
apply to braking units. The data can be obtained from the documentations of the
braking units.
The compliance with further standards (e.g.: VDE 0113, VDE 0289 and others) is the
ƒ
responsibility of the user.
5.1.8
Mains synchronisation
The regenerative power supply module can either be operated with internal or with
external mains synchronisation.
)
Note!
In the Lenze setting, the internal synchronisation is activated to make the
regenerative power supply module compatible with earlier hardware versions.
The external synchronisation is recommended for the following reasons:
ƒ
ƒ
If you use the external mains synchronisation, observe the following
3−phase wiring of the connections L1.2, L2.2, L3.2
ƒ
In−phase connection of the three mains phases
ƒ
L1 W L1.2
L2 W L2.2
L3 W L3.2

A mains failure is detected safely and quickly.
No mains error message due to mains filter effects on the mains
synchronisation.
