HQ.. m – Axial high-performance fans
3.0
Structural design
The HQ.. Ex axial high-performance fan with mounting plate and grille is a direct drive fan where the motor is positined
in the airflow. The air flow direction is pulling air over the motor. The axial flow pattern allows a low-loss, linear airflow
and ensures a high efficiency of the fan. The fan casing is made of a square mounting plate with shaped nozzle made
of galvanised sheet steel. The mounted grille is made of galvanized steel wire according to DIN EN ISO 13857. A high-
performance impeller with profiled blades made of polymer, ensures a low vibration running. Dynamic balancing in ac-
cordance with ISO 1940 pt.1, class 6.3. Acoording to standard, ATEX certified motors, in accordance with Directive
94/9/EC (equipment safety law), with minimum protection to IP 55 can be used

Assembly – Installation
All safety regulations must be observed during assembly and installation!
The fan is delivered in standard execution as a complete unit, i.e. ready for installation. The execution is for a
horizontal wall installation Fig.3).

If there is the risk of condensate formation a vertical installation position (discharge downwards) is excluded!
Before delivery, every fan is tested at the factory. After unpacking and before installation the following points should be
checked:
– damages from transport,
– unhindered running of impeller,
– uniform distance from blade tip to casing (air gap; minimum air gap see page 5, table 3.2)
The casing must not be deformed or distorted during installation (checking of minimum air gap, see 3.2).
