A FEW STEPS TO PERFECT PREPARATION
CONGEE
Rice congee is rice porridge, which is eaten mainly for breakfast in Asian countries. You can eat it sweet,
for example, by adding sugar or you add broth instead of water.
The preparation takes about 60 minutes.
1. The amount of water to add is 6 measuring cups of water per 1 measuring cup of rice. You can vary
the amount according to taste. Close the lid. Make sure that the lid clicks into place.
2. Press the CONGEE button. The LED lights up and a beep sounds.
3. When the rice is ready, the appliance stops cooking. The indicator lights and the unit enters the warm-
up mode. End the warming-up mode with the CANCEL button.
4. Please switch off the device manually with the OFF button.
5. For best results, it is recommended that the rice porridge be drawn 10-15 minutes before serving with
the lid open.
6. Do not add more water than stated otherwise the rice cooker may be damaged.
QUINOA
The quinoa from South America contains numerous nutrients. It belongs to the pseudo-cereal species.
This means that the small seeds of the quinoa plant are prepared in much the same way as cereal grains,
but they are not related to the classic cereals. Quinoa is gluten-free and contains high-quality vegetable
protein and a lot of iron and magnesium. It thus provides an important contribution to a full nutrition.
Hardly any other food is so packed with nutrients like quinoa. Fiber also supports intestinal and has a
beneficial effect on blood sugar levels and cholesterol levels.
1. Wash the quinoa in hot water to wash out bitter substances.
2. On a measuring cup Quinoa come 2 measuring cups of cold water.
3. The standard cooking time in the Quinoa menu is 30 minutes.
4. Serve the finished quinoa as a side dish or salads.
