Servicing
In the event of a fault contact the Truma Service outlet in the
first instance (see page 18).
Caution: Despite careful manufacture, the heating
system may contain sharp-edged components, and
protective gloves should always be worn when carry-
ing out any maintenance or cleaning work.

p
Changing batteries on the automatic ignitor
If no ignition sparking can be heard, or only at intervals of
more than one second (or if the monitor lamp „e", a special
accessory, is not flashing), the battery needs to be replaced.
Always ensure that heater is switched off and cooled down be-
fore replacing battery. Insert a new battery before the start of
the heating season!
AM 3, Art. no. 30030-99200), other batteries could caus opera-
tional faults!
Cleaning
(only when device has been switched off and has cooled down!)
It is recommended that at least once a year, before the start of
the heating season, the dust should be removed which may
have collected on the heat exchanger, the baseplate, and the fan
wheel of the Trumavent hot air system. Clean the fan wheel
carefully with a dusting brush or small paintbrush.

Pull the front case forward at
the top, lift up the retaining
springs and fold out front
case forwards.
Then disconnect the connect-
ing cables (e.g. for the warm
air fan and the ignition indica-
tor lamp).
For assembly, place the front
case on the lower retaining
lugs (p) and attach the elec-
trical connecting cables. In-
sert operating bar into handle
sleeve from below and allow
front case to engage at the
top.
Press the control knob into
position from above in such a
way that the arrow points to
the „0" position.
Remove the heater front case
(see above), push the battery
compartment front case up
and change the battery. En-
sure that the polarity is cor-
rect. Close the battery com-
partment again.
Only use temperature resis-
tant (+70°C), leakproof

General safety notes

If the gas system is leaking or if there is a smell of gas:
- extinguish all naked flames
- do not smoke
- switch off the appliances
- shut off the gas cylinder
- open windows and door
- do not actuate any electrical switches
- have the entire system checked by an expert!
Repairs may only be carried out by an expert!
A new O-ring must always be installed after dismantling the
exhaust duct!
1. Any alteration to the appliance (including exhaust duct and
cowl) or the use of spare parts and accessories which are im-
portant to the function of the heater and which are not original
Truma parts, as well as the non-observance of the installation
and operating instructions, will lead to the cancelling of the
guarantee and exclusion of liability claims.
2. The operating pressure for the liquid gas supply is 30 mbar
(or 28 mbar butane/37 mbar propane) or 50 mbar and must
correspond to the operating pressure of the appliance (see
name plate).
3. Liquid gas systems in awnings are not subject to technical
regulations in Germany. For safety reasons we generally rec-
ommend having the operation and the tightness of the gas
system checked every 2 years by a specialist (e.g. expert in
accordance with G 607).
In other countries the applicable technical and adminis-
trative regulations must be observed.
4. During the initial operation of a brand new appliance (or af-
ter it has not been used for some time), a slight amount of
fumes and smell may be noticed for a short while. This can be
remedied by running the heater immediately at maximum out-
put and ensuring adequate room ventilation.
5. If the burner makes an unusual noise or if the flame lifts off,
it is likely that the regulator is faulty and it is essential to have it
checked.
6. Only pressure control equipment with a fixed delivery pres-
sure of 30 mbar (or 50 mbar in older systems) must be used
for the gas system. The flow rate of the pressure control device
must correspond to at least the maximum consumption of all
devices installed by the system manufacturer.
For the two-bottle system we recommend the Duomatic Plus
gas pressure regulator kit. Truma regulators have been special-
ly developed for the harsh stress conditions in the camping
area. As well as a safety valve that provides protection against
overpressure, they also have a pressure gauge that can be
used to check the tightness of the gas system. The pressure
control equipment should be operated with a de-icing system
(Eis-Ex) at temperatures around 0°C and below.
Controller connecting hoses that meet national regulations
must always be used in the respective country for which the
equipment is destined. These hoses must be checked regularly
for brittleness. Winter-proof special hoses must always be
used if the equipment is operated during the winter.
It is not allowed to install gas cylinders which exceeds 16 kg in
weight and gas cylinders with safety blow-off valve - regulators
inside of a awning.
