1 Operating Elements and Connections

1.1 Camera
1 Lens
2 Base
3 BNC inline jack, is connected to the jack TO
CAMERA (13) of the power supply unit via a
coaxial cable
4 Locking screws, for panning the camera around
the vertical axis release the screws and then
retighten them
5 Locking screws, for tilting the camera around the
horizontal axis release the screws and then retight -
en them
6 Locking screws, for turning the camera around the
axis of the lens release the screws and then re -
tighten them
1.2 Power supply unit
7 Power LED
8 Power switch
9 Mains cable for connection to 230 V~/50 Hz
10 Fuse holder;
Replace a blown fuse by one of the same type only
11 Four sliding switches for matching the video level
or for compensating level loss when using a long
connection cable to the camera; for the adjustment
see table on page 7
12 Video output for connecting a monitor
13 Jack for connecting the camera
(video input and operating voltage output for the
camera)

2 Safety Notes

The units (power supply unit and camera) correspond
to all required directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with .
WARNING The power supply unit is supplied with
hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling or modification of
the unit may cause an electric shock
hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and extreme temperatures (admissible
ambient temperature range –10 °C to +50 °C).
G
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g. drink-
ing glasses, on the power supply unit.
G
The heat being generated in the power supply unit
must be carried off by air circulation. Therefore, the
air vents at the housing must not be covered.

Do not insert anything into the air vents! This could
result in an electric shock.
G
Do not set the power supply unit into operation, and
immediately disconnect the mains plug from the
mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the units or to the mains
cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-
lar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The units must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.

A damaged mains cable must only be replaced by
skilled personnel.
G
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains
plug from the mains socket, always seize the plug!
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the power supply unit or the
camera is used for other purposes than originally
intended, if they are not correctly connected, oper -
ated, or not repaired in an expert way.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac -
cordance with the follow ing code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be con nected to the terminal in the plug which is
mark ed with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning — This appliance must be earthed.
If the units are to be put out of operation de -
finitively, take them to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications
The high-resolution colour camera TVCCD-150COL
and the corresponding power supply unit are espe -
cially designed for use in video surveillance systems.
The one-cable technique only requires a single coaxial
cable for connecting the camera to the power supply
unit as the coaxial cable allows both power supply and
video signal transmission.
