2.4. TIPS AND ADVICE ON INSTALLATION

2.4.1. Questions on the S&SO-RS100 io HYBRID?
Observations
The roller shutter does
not operate.
The roller shutter
makes 2 brief
movements before
executing the Up and
Down orders and
functions at slow
speed.
The rotation direction
of the drive does
not self-adjust
automatically.
2.4.2. Deactivating the Smart Protect function with the Somfy io-homecontrol
point
The Smart Protect function can be deactivated with the Somfy io-homecontrol
The S&SO-RS100 io HYBRID then works with standard obstacle detection while guaranteeing
the protection of the roller shutter.
Once deactivated, the Smart Protect function cannot
be reactivated with the Somfy io-homecontrol
control point.
Position the roller shutter at its half-way position.

Cut the power supply for 2 seconds.

Switch the power supply back on.

Simultaneously press

The Smart Protect function is deactivated.

Possible causes
The wiring is incorrect.
The overheating protection on
the drive has been activated.
The temperature protection of
S&SO-RS100 io HYBRID takes
several parameters into account
and can therefore be triggered to
protect it even though the tube
temperature is not high.

The io-homecontrol control point
battery is low.
The control point is not compatible. Contact a Somfy representative.

The io-homecontrol control point
used is not programmed in the
drive.
The end limit setting in manual
or semi-automatic mode was
interrupted.
This is a small roller shutter about
0.6 m x 0.7 m (about 0.5 m²).

Check the wiring and modify as required.
Wait for a few minutes.
Check the battery and replace it as required.
Use a programmed control point or program
this control point.
If setting in manual or semi-automatic mode
is required: repeat the setting procedure (see

Otherwise move the roller shutter once to the
upper end limit and once to the lower end limit
to return to normal operating mode.
Position the roller shutter at down position
and raise it by holding it slightly with your hand
(without stopping it) for 5 seconds. Place it
back in down position. On the next movement,
the roller shutter will have found its direction
of rotation.
