Attaching the suction hose with bayonet catch
(1) Unplug the sander.
(2) Connect the bayonet catch of the suction hose to the
connection port under the sander's handle. Once the
tangs of the bayonet connector have reached the end of
the slots, hold the swivel connector and turn the bayonet
catch of the hose to the right.
(3) To disassemble, follow the assembly instructions in
reverse order.

Vacuum Cleaner

Use a suitable vacuum cleaner for sanding tasks only.
CAUTION
Failure to use the device without a vacuum clea-
ner will increase the level of airborne dust at the
workplace. Prolonged exposure to such dust may
damage your respiratory system. Always wear
a suitable and approved dust mask while doing
sanding work.
Commissioning / Decommissioning
Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that shown
on the type plate of the device and that the switch is set to
"OFF" before the device is connected to the mains.

Switching the Device On and Off

To switch on:
While holding the column with the left hand and the main
handle with the right hand, use the thumb of your right hand
to set the rocker switch to "ON". Anticipate and be ready for
the start up torque when the machine first starts.
To switch off:
Set the rocker switch to "Off". After switching the device
off, the sanding disc will continue to rotate for a short while.
Take care that no parts of your body touch the disc, and do
not put the tool down as long as the disc is still rotating!
Adjusting the rotation speed:
The device speed can be adjusted to suit different require-
ments/surfaces. With the help of the speed control, it can
be adjusted from 650 to 1,600 rpm. Using the right thumb,
turn the control downwards (counterclockwise) to increase
the speed or upwards (clockwise) to decrease the speed.
Generally, you should use the higher speed for fast stock
removal and the lower speed for fine processing.
