For certain applications (e.g. measurements in narrow
bores), it is possible to work without the probe protection
irrespective of the probe type.
With the MarSurf MFW 250 and MFW 250 B probes, the
probe arm can be exchanged, as well (see Operating in-
structions "Probe MarSurf MFW 250" or "Probe MarSurf
MFW 250 B").
6 If the MarSurf MFW 250 or MFW 250 B probe is equipped with the
double-length probe arm, it is not possible to use the probe protection.
7 If the RFHTB-50 and RFHTB-250 probes are equipped with the
skid, the probe protection cannot be used.
Without the skid, the RFHTB-50 and RFHTB-250 probes can only be used
for cylindrical testpieces with diameters larger than 50 mm (1.969 in).
With the skid, measurements on diameters larger than 30 mm (1. 1 81 in)
are possible.
8 This probe cannot be used for measurements requiring the support
prism.
