Intended usage

2.1 Range of application

Category
RTD, TC and field housings of the product line SensyTemp Ex d are devices of group II, cat-
egory 2 respectively 1/2 according to EU-directive 94/9/EC (ATEX).
Zones
RTD, TC and field housings can be used within potentially explosive atmospheres of zones 1
and 2 in compliance with all applicable regulations regarding the use of electrical equipment
in such hazardous areas.
RTD and TC with appropriate thermowells or protection tubes are applicable to temperature
measurement within zone 0 (see section 2.4).
