7.3.6 Load distribution

A small example: you are building a table with four lifting
columns. Each lifting column can bear 1000 N. Thus, the
lifting columns together must bear a load Fmax = 4000 N, if
the load is symmetrically in the centre of the table. If the load
moves into a corner of the table, then the lifting column has
to bear almost the entire load of 4000 N under this corner.
This would inevitably lead to overload. Even at the planning
stage of your application, pay attention not only to the total
load, but also the load on the individual lifting columns.
When used in combination, a safety factor of 0.6 must be
observed due to possible eccentric load distribution.

7.4 Installation

Fastening and mounting options for RKSlimlift / RKSlimlift EM:
For reliable stability, it is essential to install an adequately

dimensioned foundation to absorb the specified maximum
compressive and pull forces and the torque loading (see
section 6.2).
For fixing the lifting column or various attachments, 4
grooves 1 are available. M6 DIN 562 square nuts can be
inserted in these grooves.

7.4.1 RKSlimlift

To install the RKSlimlift, 4x M6 tapped holes are available
on the top ring 2 as well as 4 x M8 threaded holes in the

base plate 3.
The max. screw depth for M6 (upper ring) and M8 (base
plate) is respectively 10 mm.
The recommended tightening torque for M6 is 10 Nm and
for M8 15 Nm.
