Sensor cable laying instructions
Important: The sensor cable carries safety extra-low voltage (SELV). Observe
the wiring regulations of VDE 0100.
Connection of the sun sensor:
When using the sensor in combination with the
following instructions must be observed:
Embedded laying of the sensor cable (fig. A):

For embedded laying, choose an appropriate type of sensor cable.
Recommendation: J-Y(ST)Y 2x2x0.6 mm (telephone cable). Cut off the plug at the
end of the sensor line. Bare the individual wires of the sensor line and connect by
appropriate means (soldering, screw-type terminal or similar) with the sensor cable
to the insert.
Make sure the individual wires between between cable entry and terminal block
inside the insert are completely enclosed by insulation sleeving (supplied with the
sun sensor).
The cable is introduced together with the insulation sleeving through borehole • of
the insert and passed through duct ‚ to terminal block ƒ. The terminal block (supplied
with the sun sensor) is placed into the insert as shown in the diagram.

Exposed laying of the sensor cable (fig. B):
Cut off the plug at the end of the sensor line. Bare the individual wires of the sensor
line and and slide the sleeving (supplied with the sun sensor) over the line.
The line  with the insulation sleeving is then passed directly under frame ‚ into
the insert and then further through duct ƒ to terminal block „.
Exposed laying of the sensor cable (fig. C):
The sensor line is plugged into the jack provided on the shutter control timer 'Komfort' .
Connecting terminal for the sun sensor in the insert:
The two wires of the sun sensor are connected to the center and right terminal of
the block:
Center: ground (grey wire)
Right: sun sensor signal
