chemicals and sudden changes in temperature
and keep them away from sources of heat

it into use. If the device is damaged do not use

R emove the battery if the device breaks down
or is defective. Otherwise there is an increased
risk of leaking.
N ever open the housing of the device. This
could result in personal injury or damage to
the device. Always have any repairs carried
out at the service centre or by an electrical
equipment repair specialist.

batteries lying around. They may otherwise be
swallowed by children or pets. If accidentally
swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

ARD! Never recharge single-use
batteries. Do not short-circuit or open
them. The battery may overheat, ignite or ex-
plode. Never throw batteries into fire or water.

Avoid extreme environmental condi-
tions and temperatures as they may
affect batteries e.g. above radiators.
Otherwise there is an increased risk of leaking.
Exhausted or damaged batteries can cause
caustic burns upon contact with the skin. To
avoid this, always wear suitable protective
gloves in these circumstances!
A void contact with the skin, eyes and mucous
membranes if fluid has leaked from the battery.
In the event of contact with battery acid, thor-
oughly flush the affected area with clean water
and seek immediate medical attention.
R emove light dirt from the battery and product
contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth before insert-
ing the batteries.
R emove the battery from the device if it is not
going to be used for a prolonged period.
W hen inserting the battery, ensure the correct
polarity! This is shown in the battery compart-
ment.
R emove a spent battery immediately from the
device. There is an increased risk of leaks!
B atteries must not be disposed of in the normal
domestic waste!
E very consumer is legally obliged to dispose of
batteries in the proper manner!
K eep batteries away from children. Do not
throw batteries into a fire. Never short-circuit
them or take them apart.
