Quick Start
Install
Download dot2 onPC software from MA-Homepage and install software on PC or Laptop. For minimum

requirements (minimum WIN7 or IPv6 must –capable) see : www.malighting.com
Connect dot2 Node4 (100 - 240V ,50 or 60 Hz).

Connect dot2 Node4 using a network cable (RJ45 plug). Either via the switch / hub or by directly

plugging it into a PC or laptop computer or dot2 console.
Switch ON
start dot2 –console or dot2 onPC and switch on dot2 Node4 (set main switch at the back to „I"). It

takes about 30 seconds until the dot2 Node4 is ready for operation.The dot2 Node4 display will only
show the most important settings. For configuring a node, you have to use a dot2 console or the dot2 onP
software.
Note: no update is required because the node after connecting the device always gets the software of the
console or onPC. Problems with different software versions are therefore excluded.
Open menu SETUP DMX / Network in the console or the onPC software.

Open NETWORK INTERFACE and select a network (only at dot2 onPC)

Open the SESSIONS menu and press the button "Start new session or join" to start a session (New

Session button) or connect to an already running session (button Join session). Then the message
appears in the menu "Your station is a part of a network session 1-4".
Press on "DMX Nodes" in the "Connected Devices ".

If no nodes are registered in the overview, then press "Add". Now all available nodes in the network
should be presented.
