1.2 Symbols and Warning Signs

Various symbols are used in the operating instructions. They refer to
potential dangers or point to technical information, the non-observation
of which will lead to personal injury and damage to objects.
The following symbols have been used to simplify understanding:
Warning
This symbol poses particular danger to the operating or maintenance
STOP
personnel if the operating instructions are not followed.
Caution
This component is live. Follow electrical safety information carefully in
these areas. Take particular care during maintenance and repair work.
Maintenance
Maintenance work is required at certain intervals in these areas.
Pictorial Note
Notes or information explaining use of the individual components on
the machine. This symbol together with its number refers to the

relevant illustration at the end of the operating instructions.

1.3 Proper Use

The "CowCleaner" cleaning machine may only be used to clean female
cattle in pens. The guidelines indicated in these operating instructions
should be observed. Using the machine for other purposes is contrary
to the rules. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for injury and/or
damage resulting from this. We recommend finding a person who has
already used the machine to help you when you operate the machine
for the first time. We also recommend having repairs carried out by
specialist workshops for agricultural machinery or by electricians.
• The cow cleaning machine is not suitable for bulls.
• Rutting cattle should be kept away from the machine or the animals

should be prevented from jumping up with suitable protection
equipment.
• Only original accessories and spare parts can guarantee proper
functioning of the machine. We cannot held liable for damages resulting
from the use of parts from other manufacturers.
• The machine may only be operated, maintained and repaired by per-
sons who are familiar with the intended application range and the
dangers of the equipment.
