2.11 Start-up
Make sure that the operating conditions match the data on the rating plate. Do not alter any
transducer settings. The transducer is operational after a 5 minute warm-up period and will
keep within the tolerances.

on the output side, the auxiliary power must be disconnected; the potential of the
terminals 3 and 3 can reach a maximum of 30 V DC during interruption of the output

2.12 Maintenance

The output signal can be checked in a laboratory after half a year and thereafter every 
years (chapter calibration and testing). The appliance is opened for this means. Apart from
this, the appliance is maintenance-free.
2.13 Calibration and Testing

During these tasks, the provisions and code of conduct set out in the accident
prevention regulations VBG 4.0 must be observed. Of particular importance is
No.8 " Permissible discrepancies while working on active parts". Suitable electrical
tools are to be used.
To calibrate the device the transducer is opened and the individual units are removed. After
disconnecting the external wiring, open the lid of the transducer and remove the subassembly
units. The circuit comprises of the following units:
– measuring unit
– connection unit
– power supply unit
The calibration potentiometers are on the measuring module.
Special care is required during work on open units, since dangerously high
voltages could be present on the back of the measuring and power supply
units. Therefore, the back of the units should be appropriately covered.
