2.10 Installation and Operation

Certain parts of electrical appliances are necessarily under high voltage during
use. Severe injuries and/or damage can result if the operating instructions are
ignored. The installation and connection of the appliance should only be carried
out by suitably qualified personnel.
In particular all safety warnings must be observed.

Installation

• The chosen position should be as free from vibrations as possible. The permissible
temperatures (working or operating temperature) must be respected (see Technical
Specifications).
• Operation outside the functional temperature range can cause errors and lead to failure
of the transducer.
• Polymer case, overvoltage category III according to DIN EN 600 part .
• Screw terminals for max. .5 mm
• The transducer can be snapped onto a 35 mm top-hat rail (DIN EN 500).
Connection
The regulations concerning the assembly of power system must be adhered to.
• If several terminal devices are to be used, e.g. recorders, displays, telecontrol systems,
computers, or controllers, then these should be connected in series to the current
output of the transducer (pay attention to the polarity). In the case of transducers with a
voltage output, the terminal devices are connected in parallel.
• The entire load, including the wiring must not exceed the value given in the technical
specifications.
• The terminal assignment is described in chapter .8
