FORK MAINTENANCE

SR SUNTOUR forks are designed to be nearly maintenance free. However, as long as moving parts
are exposed to moisture and contamination, the performance of your fork might be reduced after
several rides. To maintain a high performance, safety and a long life of your fork, a periodic mainte-
nance is required.
We recommend (eve-
ry 200km) to use fork
spray (e.g. Brunox) to
clean dirt, dust, sand
etc. of the piston and
area surrounding the
pistons.
We recommend (every
200km) to use fork spray
(e.g. Brunox) to clean
dirt, dust, sand etc. of
the axle and the area
surrouding the axle.
We recommend (every 200km) to use
fork spray (e.g. Brunox) to lubricate the
rubber O-rings. It will help preventing
them against corrosion.
Check fixing bolt every 200km
and make sure it is tightened-
with the proper torque value.
We recommend to clean(use wa-
ter with mild soap) the gap bet-
ween the upper and lower part
of the fork(every 200km) as dirt,
dust, sand etc. may built up in
between. This could affect the
endurance and proper function of
your fork. Afterwards lubricate the
axle with fork spray (e.g. Brunox).
