4.1

General instructions (Fig. 1)

Always drain the soiled water tank (42) after use
and rinse with clean water. In the case of atv
machines, clean both tanks (41/42). Replace or
clean wearing parts such as brushes, pads and
suction lips within good time. Clean the sieves
(45; 38 and 43 in the case of atv) every day after
using the machine. Wipe the sensors (46) for
filling level shut-off with a damp cloth. The surge
guard (47) may be removed for cleaning the
sensors. Regularly grease the brush flange
mechanism. Regularly check the suction hoses
and the suction lips.
4.2

Changing the suction lips (Fig. 2)

Unscrew the two locking handles (18). Remove
the suction base (17 ) from the suction base
bracket (19) and press against the two bolts.
The suction rail is released from the suction lip
bracket. Remove the suction rail from the suc-
tion lip bracket. Remove both suction lips (22).
Turn the suction lips over. In the case of one
suction lip, the side with the slits must be in-
serted pointing down - in the direction of travel.
In the case of the other suction lip, the slits are
positioned at the top in the suction lip bracket.
Reinsert the suction rail into the suction lip
bracket. Turn the locking handles (18) lightly on
the bolts. Attach the suction base (17) into the
recesses (21) of the suction base bracket (19).
Fasten the locking handles (18) again.
4.3
Draining and cleaning the soiled
water tank (Fig. 3)
The soiled water is drained via the soiled water
drainage hose (10) and the soiled water cock
(9). Open the cover (1). Rinse the soiled water
tank (42), in the case of atv machines, both
tanks (41 and 42) with clean water. Remove,
drain, clean and reinsert sieve (45), in the case
of atv, sieve (38) and coarse dirt sieve (43). After
draining and cleaning, the soiled water cock (9)
must be tightly sealed again.
4.4

Battery maintenance

Always charge the batteries after use. In the
case of wet-cell batteries, after each charge
process, check the acid level and top up with
distilled water, max. 5 -10 mm above the edge of
the cell. Once per month, the battery must be
provided with an equalising charge. The battery
connection cable and terminal connections must
always be dry and clean.
