3.0 Checking sensor type

Customerscancheckwhetheratyreisfitted
with a Herth+Buss sensor without having to
removethetyre.
A display also informs customers of whe-
ther the sensor is of 70699433 (WIRE) or
70699434/-443(WIRELESS)type.
Differences between 70699433/-434 and
-443/-444:
70699433 has to be activated in the
compartment.
70699434/-443 can be activated in the
compartment, but wireless activation is
basicallyalsopossible.
Wireless reprogramming of the old sen-
sor 70699433 to a different
IDcanonlybeperformedfollowing
activation.
Thisalsoonlyapplieswithinthesame
vehicle model (Opel Astra > Opel Astra)
Wireless reprogramming of the new
sensor 70699434/-443 can be performed
following activation.
This also applies between different ve-
hicle models (Opel Astra > VW Golf)

As always the following must be heeded
when checking:
The antennae are located on the left and
right of the AirGuard Tool and not on the
front. For this reason the tool is to be held
longitudinally alongside the tyres at a dis-
tance of no more than 30 cm.
Select the corresponding vehicle beforehand
in the tool.
NOTE
Thefunction"Checkingsensortype"
does not depend on the sensor pro-
gramming (vehicle model).
