The pre-assembled tail rotor is pushed onto the tail rotor shaft with the sliding sleeve according to the sketch and attached
with two grub screws M3x3.
Observe that the two grub screws catch in the respective outer indentations of the tail rotor shaft.
Verify the function of the tail rotor linkage after completion of the tail rotor unit. All components must work smoothly but
must not have any play in their bearings.
Important!
Tighten the screws for the tail rotor blades only enough for the rotor blades to still cleanly align at a 180° to each
other in flight.
Lower figure:
Push the tailboom carefully back into the mechanics. Observe that the derive belt is turned according to the upper sketch.
After placing the belt on the front drive wheel, draw back the tailboom again. Observe correct belt tension. Tension the belt
only enough for the entire tail rotor drive to still work smoothly.
When the tailboom fits perfectly and the rudder unit is aligned vertically, tighten the two chassis screws M3x18 (see page
7 top figure) and the screws at the tow tailboom supports. Connect the tail rotor rods to the tail rotor servo (also see page
17, lower figure).

Install the rotor head and swash plate linkage rod according to the respective sketches and insert the rods.
Important note!
Since high-performance electrical drives can be very dangerous, we recommend disconnecting the motor from the
controller for any maintenance and setting work. This reliably prevents inadvertent start-up of the mechanics.
After installing the servo levers, call a helicopter programme with a 3-point 120° swash disc control (HR-3) in your remote
control transmitter.
Set the correct running direction and the precise centre position of the servos. The three servo levers of the swash plate
sensors must be aligned precisely in a horizontal line with each other (see small sketch) when the pitch control lever is in the
centre position.
Lower figure:
Assembly of the swash plate guide and the rotor blades complete the mechanics setup. When installing the swash plate
guide, ensure that the side with the lower height of the guide slot is installed pointing to the front in flight direction.
The rotor blade screws must only be tightened enough for the rotor blades to align at a 180° angle to each other in flight.
