3. When the dehumidifier first starts, default humidity setting is set to 50% RH.
4. When switching OFF the machine, do not simply unplug the unit from the socket - ensure you to
turn off the machine properly and have allowed it to complete the drying cycle. Wait for the fan
to stop, before unplugging.

Tilt Protection

Your ecofort ecoQ 9L steady dehumidifier was designed with safety in mind. When unit is tilted it
will be shut down to minimize safety risk or damage. The On light will flash red, to indicate anti tilt
protection has activated.
If the unit has been tilted, please do not use it for a day or two until the internals are completely dried,
as using the unit after it has been tilted could result in a short circuit, which would internally damage
the unit. Consult the service centre if in any doubts
POSITIONING THE DEHUMIDIFIER
The positioning of your dehumidifier can have a large impact on its performance and efficiency. In
positioning the dehumidifier please ensure the circulation of air is not restricted around the unit.
Please observe the figure below showing the clearance which is required around the unit.
IMPORTANT: Please follow the distances shown on the diagram, to ensure that the walls,
clothing, and other objects are kept a safe distance from the unit.
Your ecofort ecoQ 9L steady dehumidifier will begin to protect your home from the harmful effects
of excessive moisture as soon as it is turned on. Excess moisture travels throughout your home, in
the same way that cooking smells spread around the house. For this reason, the
dehumidifier should be positioned in a central location so that it can draw this
moist air towards it from all over the home. If possible, leave interior
doors open to allow air circulation between rooms.
Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one area you can
begin by positioning the dehumidifier there and moving it to a
more central location at a later date. For the most effective use,
run your dehumidifier with any external doors and windows
kept closed.
Please note the unit should not be placed directly against
a radiator or other heat source.
