B) Set-up

Take care not to place the appliance in direct sunlight and protect it from vibration, dust, heat, cold, and
moisture. Keep the appliance away from strong transformers or motors.
Always operate the amplifier on a steady surface, and one that is not heat sensitive and make sure it is
upright and has enough air circulating around it.
Make sure you position the appliance in a safe and stabile place, away from objects that might might fall
on it, thereby avoiding unwanted accidents.
In view of the variety of paints and polishes used for furniture, the base of the appliance may leave visible residues
on the furniture it is placed on as a result of the chemical reaction.
For this reason, protect the furniture surface appropriately when placing the appliance on valuable furniture.
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the housing to mount the appliance, as this
could otherwise damage it.
1. When selecting the setup location, please take into consideration the room layout such as the whereabouts of the nearest
mains socket etc.
2. Set up the record player at a sufficient distance from the loudspeakers to avoid acoustic feedback.
3. The playing surface should be isolated from the floor surface.
C) Connecting inputs and outputs
Before connecting the record player to the other audio units make sure that the mains lead is
disconnected.
Turn off all units that are to be connected and disconnect them from the mains supply.
Please heed the manufacturers installation and safety instructions of all other appliances that are to be
connected together.
Cinch and earthing connection
The record player can be connected to the phono input of an amplifier or to a mixing desk.
The appliance to which the record player will be connected should have a magnet system (MM) installed via a cinch phono
input. By referring to the corresponding operating instructions find out where the input connection is and ensure that it is
compatible.
Other inputs e.g. AUX or microphone inputs are not suitable to connect a record player to. If these instructions are not
observed, the record player or connected appliances could be damaged.
1. Connect the record players cinch sockets (red = right channel / white = left channel) to the phono-cinch input sockets of
your amplifier or mixing desk.
2. Connect the earthing clip from the record player to the earthing clip of your amplifier or mixing desk to avoid humming
distortion.
