6. Return the pick-up arm (18) to the pick-up arm rest (21) and lock the clip into place.
7. Rotate the setting scale on the pick-up arm counterweight (24) to the"0" position, without altering the setting on the
counterweight (24) itself (hold the counterweight (24) / only rotate the scale).
8. Set the stylus force of the pick-up arm (18) according to the enclosed scale with the manufacturers recommended stylus
forces. To achieve this rotate the counterweight (24) from the setting scale as viewed from the front in an anti-clockwise
direction, until the desired weight is reached. The red line on the pick-up arm (18) is the marking for this setting. The
recommended setting for the supplied system is "3", i.e. 3g (2.5~3.5g).
Setting the pick-up arm height
The pick-up base can be adjusted to an added height of up to 6mm. This is important, if different pick-up heads are fitted with
varying sizes. Otherwise the pick-up arm can no longer be adjusted to be parallel to the turntable. The pick-up arm has been
preset to match the system enclosed ("0" position).
Please proceed as follows to adjust the pick-up arm height:
1. Put a record on the turntable (6).
2. Swing the pick-up arm (18) over the record and let it slowly go down.
3. Disengage the catch "LOCK" on the pick-up arm base (rotate anti-clockwise).
4. Rotate the outer ring of the pick-up arm base, until the pick-up arm (18) is parallel to the record's surface.
5. Fix the height adjuster, by closing the "LOCK" catch (rotate clockwise).
6. Bring the pick-up arm (18) back to the pick-up arm rest (21) and fasten it in place.
