6. Initial operation

To ensure correct initial operation, please read these operating instructions and the safety instructions
carefully before using the appliance!
Before connecting the record player switch off the appliance itself and all other appliances which are to
be connected and then disconnect the other appliances from the mains power supply.
Proceed in the same way when changing the wiring.

A) Mounting

1. Remove the record player and all its spare parts and mountings from the packaging. The accessories are also to be found
in the protective polystyrene parts of the packaging.
2. Install your record player on a stabile flat surface.
Turntable
1. Place the turntable (6) onto the turntable axis(7).
2. Place the enclosed carry mat onto the turntable (6).
Lid
1. Clip the two hinges (10) onto the lid.
2. Attach the hinged lid to the built-in holders on the record player.
Pick-up arm counterweight
1. Attach the pick-up arm counterweight (24) to the back end of the pick-up arm (18) on the record player. The scale of the
counterweight (24) should be facing forward to the pick-up head (16).
2. Screw the counterweight (24) up to the halfway mark onto the pick-up arm (18). For information about more exact
adjustment see "Setting the pick-up arm counterweight".
Pick-up head
1. Make sure before you mount the pick-up head (16) that the pick-up arm (18) is secured in the pick-up arm rest (21).
2. Attach the pre-mounted pick-up system (16) carefully to the pick-up arm (18).
3. Attach the pick-up head (16) by turning the attaching screw (17) in an anti-clockwise direction.
