4. Guide the power cable into the connection
area such that the cable grommet fits around
the cable sheathing completely. If neces-
sary, seal the cable grommet on-site.
5. Wire fan to the terminal block according to
the wiring diagram ( chapter 14). Note
the screws' tightening torque of 0.7 Nm.
CAUTION
EZQ../EZS..: Risk of injury if capacitor [3]
is not installed or installed incorrectly.
Even slight contact with the stationary
impeller may cause the motor to start.
Wire the capacitor as shown in the
wiring diagram ( chapter 14).
NOTICE
EZQ../EZS..: Risk of damage to unit if
capacitor [3] is not installed or installed
incorrectly. Motor does not start, runs in
the wrong rotational or air flow direction,
or overheats.
Wire the capacitor as shown in the wiring
diagram ( chapter 14).
6. Electrically wire EZQ.. B and EZS.. B
devices to the capacitor [3]. Make
connection on terminal block [11] (
previous figure), tightening the screws to
a tightening torque of 0.7 Nm. Connect
PE conductor to ground terminal [13],
tightening the screws to a tightening
torque of 1.5 Nm.
NOTICE
DZQ../DZS..: Risk of damage to unit if
unauthorised external control device is
used. Only use control devices with an
automatic, self-holding switch-off
function. For example, a Maico motor
protection switch MV 25 or a contactor
control with self-holding function.
7. On three-phase AC units DZQ.. and
DZS.., connect an external control device
to both TK motor terminals on the terminal
block. Note the screws' tightening torque
of 0.7 Nm.
8. Fit an On/Off switch provided by the
customer.
9. Connect optional accessory components
( chapter 8.3 or 8.4). Refer to  cata-
logue  Internet for approved accessory
components.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to unit due to moisture
in the event of improperly attached
connection area cover [2].
The connection area cover sealing [2] must
be flush all the way round the motor.
Tighten both screws to a tightening torque
of 1.0 Nm.

8.3 EZQ.. and EZS..:
Operation with speed controller
The speed of EZQ../EZS.. units can be con-
tinuously adjusted with a TRE 5-step trans-
former, either progressively or with phase
angle control (ST, STU, STS) ( catalogue
 Internet).
The technology used in the phase
angle controller may cause humming
noises.
NOTICE
The fan will stop and suffer functional
problems if the output voltage on the
speed controller is too low.
1. Observe information in the speed
controller operating instructions.
2. Always set the minimum speed on the
speed controller such that the fan motor
starts up again after power failure.
8.4 DZQ.. and DZS..:
Operation with transformer
The speed of DZQ../DZS.. units can be
adjusted progressively with a transformer
suitable for the unit type (TR 5-step
transformer) ( catalogue  Internet).
