Inserting/Changing the Battery
To commission the UV meter for the first time, e.g. to replace a
spent battery, you have to insert a new lithium battery into the bat-
tery compartment (part of the delivery).
Open the battery compartment on the back with a coin or similar as
illustrated. Turn the cover in the direction of the arrow.
Insert the button cell in the compartment observing the correct
polarity. The plus pole of the battery will point outwards. Close the
battery compartment in the opposite direction of the arrow.
You need to replace the battery once the battery icon
appears on the display. Change the battery right away to
prevent wrong measuring.
Basic Setting
If you commission the UV meter for the first time or exchanged the
battery or performed a reset, you have to make some basic settings
like the time format, the time, the temperature unit, skin type as well
as the sunscreen lotion you use.
All display segments appear once you insert a new battery or per-
form a reset. The time format setting blinks after approx. 2 seconds.
Proceed as follows.

Verrouillage des touches
Les touches peuvent être verrouillées pour éviter tout
actionnement involontaire. Pour verrouiller ou déverrouiller
les touches, maintenez enfoncée la touche START/STOP
(G) et appuyez de plus sur la touche CLEAR (H). Lorsque le
verrouillage des touches est activé, le symbole de serrure
(8) est affiché.
Modes de fonctionnement
Vous pouvez commuter entre les différents modes de fonctionnement
à l'aide de la touche „ MODE/SET „(D). Il s'agit des modes suivants :
- Affichage de l'heure, du niveau UV et de la température
- Affichage du minuteur de compte à rebours, du niveau UV et de la
température
- Affichage de l'index UV, du niveau UV et de la durée d'exposition au
soleil
Le niveau UV (symbol du soleil) se mesure de manière suivante :
