Affichage de l'heure, du niveau UV et de la
température
Sur l'écran à cristaux liquides, l'heure est affichée en
bas, la température en haut et le dernier niveau UV
mesuré sous forme d'un symbole de soleil afin de vous
permettre d'évaluer rapidement les risques. Si aucune
valeur mesurée n'a encore été déterminée, le soleil est
représenté „ vide „, comme illustré ici.
La température est saisie par le détecteur de tempéra-
ture intérieur (F).
Affichage du minuteur de compte à
rebours, du niveau UV et de la température
Sur l'écran à cristaux liquides, le minuteur de compte à
rebours est affiché en bas, la température en haut et le
dernier niveau UV mesuré en haut sous forme d'un sym-
bole de soleil afin de vous permettre d'évaluer rapidement
les risques.
La température est saisie par le détecteur de température
intérieur (F).
Fonctionnement du minuteur
Procédez comme suit pour utiliser le minuteur :
- Maintenez enfoncée la touche „MODE/SET" pendant env. deux
secondes. L'affichage des heures commence à clignoter.
- Réglez les heures avec les touches „ START/STOP „ ou „ CLEAR „.
- En appuyant sur la touche „ MODE/SET „, vous passez au réglage
des minutes.
- Réglez les minutes avec les touches „ START/STOP „ ou „ CLEAR „.
- La touche „ MODE/SET „ vous permet de terminer le réglage.
- Appuyez sur la touche „ START/STOP „ pour démarrer le minu-
teur. La barre des secondes affiche le temps qui s'écoule. Appuy-

What is a UV Index (UVI)?
In the past years, the ultraviolet fraction (UV) of the solar radiation
has increased (ozone hole). This promotes the occurrence of sun-
burns and skin changes. If you know the current UV index, you can
protect yourself accordingly.
The UV index is the value for the intensity of solar radiation and
applies equally to all skin types.
The term „UV Index" and its definition is the same all over the world.
It is displayed on an open scale and generally takes on values bet-
ween 0 and 8 in Germany, in mountains up to 9. Values up to 12 can
be reached in the tropics.
The intensity of the UV index increases with altitude by approx. 10%
each 1000 m. In high Alpine altitudes, you can therefore expect hig-
her UV radiation even with cloudy skies.
Initial Operation
Before starting up operation, carefully read and
observe the information on intended use, the safety
instructions, and the technical data.
You can attach the UV meter almost anywhere with the attachment
strap.
The reset button serves to reset the device to the factory settings.
To do so, press the RESET button (I) with a pointed object (e.g.
paper clip or needle) on the back. All settings (skin type, time, etc.)
are reset.
