AUX Operation

A suitable external device (e.g. CD player) can be connected to the AUX connections (18) with standard
cinch cables. Only volume can be adjusted. All other functions must be adjusted the the external device
itself.
Please take note of the instructions for use and warnings for the AUX device connected!
1. Using the VOLUME buttons (25) or the volume control knob (6), set volume to minimum.
2. Press the "FUNCTION" key (8) as often as is necessary until "AUX" appears in the display.
3. Press the playback button on the connected device.
4. Using the VOLUME buttons (25) or the volume control knob (6) turn the volume up to the desired level.

Handling

• Never plug the mains plug into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a
cold to a warm environment. The condensation water created thereby may damage the device.
• Leave the device switched off and wait until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the conden-
sation water has evaporated.
• Never disconnect mains plugs from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Always pull out the mains
plug by gripping it on the surfaces provided for this purpose.
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket if the device is not going to be used for longer
periods of time.
• For safety reasons always pull the mains plug from the socket during a thunderstorm.
Do not listen to excessively loud music for longer periods of time. This can damage
your hearing.

Useful notes on handling CDs:

• Hold CDs at the edges only. This avoids fingerprints and dirt being transfered to the surface.
• Always place the CD in the CD tray with the written side facing upwards
• Handle CDs with clean hands only.
• If one of your CDs is dirty, wipe it clean from the middle outwards using a soft, lint-free cloth. Never
clean CDs in a circular motion. Never use solvents.
