CARD-USB Operation

This device will play MP3 files from a USB stick or SD/MS/MMC card.
Due to the great variety of systems with USB and SD/MMC card interfaces and their
different functions, some of which are producer-specific, we cannot guarantee that all
media will be recognized and that all the operational functions are available in this CD
tuner.
1. Insert the USB stick in the USB connection point (23). Alternatively, insert a SD/MS/MMC memory
card in the card slot (22) until this clicks into position.
Pay attention to the correct orientation and do not use any force. To remove, push the
memory card a bit into the slot until the catch releases and the card is pushed out
approx. 5 mm.
2. Press the "FUNCTION" key (8) as often as necessary to switch the device into CARD-USB mode
(indicated in the display).
3. The display will indicate the total number of titles and albums on the data carrier. Once you have, for
instance, inserted a memory card, the SD-/MS-/MMC-indicator (7) will light and the word CARD will
appear in the display.
4. Where the USB connection (23) and the SD/MS/MMC card slot (22) both contain data carriers, the
STOP button (4) can be used to change between both inputs. Press and hold the STOP button (4) for
approx. 2 seconds to do this. Depending on the input chosen, either the USB (2) or SD-/MS-/MMC
indicator (7) will light.
5. Begin playback with the PLAY button (5).
6. With the exception from the CARD-USB-ALBUM search, the mode of playback for MP3 files in CARD-
USB mode is identical to that for operation of an MP3-CD.
Do not remove the memory card or USB stick from the device during playback. This
may corrupt the information contained on the data carrier. Data carriers prematurely
removed from the device may need reformating.

CARD-USB ALBUM Search

1. Press the FIND (30) button whilst in CARD-USB mode in order to switch to album search mode.
2. Press the IGG DOWN/REW or UP/FF button DDI (3), to choose the desired album.
3. Press PLAY (5) to start album playback.
When in CARD-USB mode, only ALBUM search feature is available. Searching for a
particular title is not possible with MP3-CDs.
