Intended Use
The LED effect spotlight is intended to be used to generate light effects in light show equipment,
party rooms, etc. and it is controlled using the integrated controller or an external DMX controller.
This product is only approved for connection to 90-240 V/50 Hz alternating current.
The DMX connector may only be connected to suitable DMX controllers.
The product may only be used in enclosed indoor locations. Outdoor use is not allowed. Contact
with moisture, for example in bathrooms or the like, must be avoided.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves risks
such as short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt, and the housing must not be opened.

Explanation of the symbols
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and use.
A triangle containing a lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g., electric shock.
The device contains no parts that should be serviced by the user. Therefore, do not
open the device.
This symbol on the device indicates that the user should read these operating instruc-
tions prior to putting the device into operation and follow the instructions when using
the product.
The symbol with the house is used to inform the user that the device may only be oper-
ated in enclosed rooms.
This symbol indicates the minimum distance to the illuminated surfaces.

The arrow symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the device.
Safety Instructions
D amages due to failure to follow these operating instructions will void the warranty/
guarantee! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper
handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty/guarantee
will be void in such cases!
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modification to the product
is not permitted.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 2. Only use a standard
mains socket (90-240 V/50 Hz) connected the public power supply system as the
power source.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this effect
spotlight must be appropriately trained and qualified and they must follow these op-
erating instructions.
• Never look directly into the light source when the device is in operation. The intense
light rays could temporarily impair your eyesight. Moreover, they may trigger epilep-
tic seizures in vulnerable persons. This applies in particular to epileptics.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands. There is danger of a life-threat-
ening electric shock!
• If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, switch off the appropriate mains
socket (e.g. via the respective circuit-breaker and the RCD) and then carefully pull
the mains plug from the mains socket. If the device does not work, take it to a spe-
cialist workshop. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• When installing or setting up the product, make sure that the mains cable is not
pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
• This product is not a toy; it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the
potential dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• Never place vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vas-
es or plants, on the device or in its direct vicinity. Liquids may seep into the casing
and thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a significant
risk of fire or of a lethal electric shock! If this is the case, de-energise the appropriate
mains socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker and RCD) and then remove the mains
plug from the mains socket. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to
a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or spraying water, strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not place open flames, such as burning candles, on or close to the device.
• Do not operate the device when it is unattended.
• Use the device only in temperate climate regions and not in tropical ones.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything
for children.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise
that are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical
service or any other professional expert.
Installation/Set-up
T he assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. The maintenance, op-
eration and commissioning of this product may only be carried out by qualified per-
sonnel.
W hen selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will not be
subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Furthermore, keep the
product away from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
I lluminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light outlet. Easily-
flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics too, must be at least 0.5 m away from
the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
W hen installing the product, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or dam-
aged by sharp edges.
D uring installation and service work, the area below the installation location must be
cordoned off.
T he installation surface, or mounting fixture, must be designed so that it can withstand
10 times the loading capacity for at least 1 hour without permanent damaging defor-
mation.
I t is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety restraint,
which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when the device is installed
in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the installation should be
able to fall down.
• Install the effect spotlight using the holes provided in the housing on the ceiling, the wall or on a
suitable crossbeam system. When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely.
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface and suitable
for carrying the weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety re-
straint cable or net must be capable of supporting the light effect device in the event of a fault in
the main support system.
Connecting a DMX controller
Only connect the device to a DMX controller with DMX-512 protocol.
Y ou can operate up to a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX chain; otherwise the control-
ler will overload.
The maximum overall length of the DMX chain should not exceed 500 m.
T he use of XLR microphone cables can cause disturbances to the DMX signal trans-
mission. In such case, please use special DMX high frequency cables.
