Switching on/off DCF reception
The DCF reception is automatically switched on when the device is started for the fi rst time. If you wish to set the date
and time manually, the DCF reception must be switched off (also see the preceding chapter).
• Press and hold the button "
" for about 2 seconds, until the display for the 12/24-hr mode blinks.
• Press the "
" button, until "ON
• Now switch the DCF reception "ON" or "OFF" using the buttons "
• Exit the setup mode by briefl y pressing the "
Switching displays (time, date, alarm times)
If you press the button "
" briefl y several times, the indicator on the left of the display switches between:
• Time (hour, minute, second)
• Time/weekday (hour, minute, weekday)
• Date (day, month, year or month, day, year, depending on setting)
• Alarm 1 (symbol "
" fl ashes)
• Alarm 2 (symbol "
" fl ashes)
Alarm function
a) Setting the alarm
• Briefl y press the "
" button several times until the alarm time 1 or 2 is displayed (1 (symbol "
"
" blinks).
• Press the button "
" for approx. 2 seconds until the hours for the alarm time start to blink.
• Set the hours for the alarm time using the "

" button; the minutes for the alarm time blink.
• Set the minutes for the alarm time using the "

" button to exit the setup mode.
If no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the settings are saved and the setup mode will be exited auto-
matically.
Please note: If the alarm time was changed, the alarm function is automatically switched on!
b) Turning the alarm function on/off

c) Snooze function
There is a button inbuilt on each of the device's front feet.
When the alarm sounds, simply press on the front of the casing (not on the glass cube, to avoid fi ngerprints!) to
activate the snooze function. The symbol "
minutes after which it starts again.
d) Stopping the alarm signal
When the signal is sounded at the set alarm time, it can be stopped by pressing any button on the back of the
weather station.
If no button is pressed, the alarm signal stops automatically after 2 minutes.
Switching between temperature units °C/°F
Briefl y press the button "
" in order to switch between °C (degrees Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit).
Displaying/deleting MAX/MIN temperatures
• Briefl y press the button " " to switch between the current temperature, the maximum temperature ("MAX" is
shown in the display) and the minimum temperature ("MIN").
• To delete the MAX/MIN memory, press and hold the " " button a moment.
Switching the display for indoor/outdoor temperature
• Briefl y press the "
" button, to switch between the following displays:
- Indoor temperature (symbol "
" in the display)
- Outdoor temperature from sensor 1
- Outdoor temperature from sensor 2
- Outdoor temperature from sensor 3
- Automatic switching between all sensors (symbol "
Select display illumination mode
Use the "LCD" sliding switch (see picture to the right) to select the desired
mode for the display illumination:
OFF
Display illumination off
DIM
low brightness
BRIGHT
full brightness
The LED lighting's function is selected with the second sliding switch:

If the "AUTO" mode is selected, the display lighting and the current weather forecast will be shown, if
you press briefl y on the front of the casing (buttons in the casing's two front feet are activated).
Constant illumination is only possible when the weather station is operated with the wall plug trans-
former.
Weather Forecast
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is calculated based on measurements of trends in the barometric pres-
sure. This results in an accuracy of up to 70%.
The weather forecast is displayed by means of symbols in the LCD display and the 3D symbols in the illuminated
glass solid fi gures.
To illuminate the 3D symbols in the glass, the sliding switch "OFF/AUTO/ON" must be in the position
"AUTO" or "ON".
In the "AUTO" setting, the 3D symbols in the glass are illuminated every 5 minutes for a few seconds;
in the "ON" setting, the illumination is continuous.
Reset
To reset the weather station or the outdoor sensor, briefl y press the respective "Reset" button. Alternatively, you can
briefl y disconnect the power supply.
Maintenance and Cleaning

The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for any reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on the casing or the glass; this can
cause scratch marks.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they can discolour the plastic casing.
Disposal
a) Product
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries

The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Do not
dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Mercury, Pb=Lead (marked on batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. under the rubbish bin symbol
shown to the left).
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your community's collection point or
any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
