Setting the date manually
• Press the „WAVE/SET" button after successfully setting the display language as well as the
time zone.
• Using the „-" or „+" button, you can set the current year. Keep the buttons pressed to activate
the quick search of the year dates.
• Press the „WAVE/SET" button to confirm the input and to activate the day/month setting mode.
• Set the current month as well as the current day with the „-" or „+" buttons. Keep the buttons
pressed to activate the quick search.
• Proceed with setting the time.
Setting the time manually
• Press the „WAVE/SET" button after successfully setting the date.
• Press the „-" or „+" button several times to set the time. When pressing the „-" or „+" button
once, you can reset the seconds to 00. Keep the buttons pressed to activate the quick search.
• Proceed with setting the time format and the temperature representation.
Setting the time format 12/24 and the temperature representa-
tion in °C or °F manually
• Press the „WAVE/SET" button after successfully setting the time.
• Press the „+" button to determine if the time should be shown in 12 hour or 24 hour format.
• Press the „-" button to determine if the temperature should be shown in °C or in °F.
• Press the „WAVE/SET" button to adopt all performed settings.
Alarm time setting
• Press the „-" or „+" button several times to set the alarm time. The alarm is shown immedi-
ately. The „AL" symbol is shown at the same time.
Activate the alarm function
To determine the alarm function, use the available slideswitch with three options at the right side:
SNOOZE (slumber function)
When setting the slideswitch in the SNOOZE postion, the alarm will be activated at the set alarm
time.
Press at the „SNOOZE/LIGHT" button when you want to deactivate the alarm after it went off at
the set time. The alarm sounds in 5 minutes intervals.
ALARM ON
When setting the slide witch in the ALARM ON postion, the alarm will be activated at the set
alarm time.
ALARM OFF
This slideswitch position deactivates the alarm function.
Temperature representation
The temperature is shown continiously in the display. When the temperature is outside the rep-
resentation area the display shows „Hi" or „Lo".

Background illumination

The solar radio project clock has background illumination. Press the „SNOOZE/LIGHT" button
to activate the backgroundillumination. The backgroundilluminationwill be deactivated automat-
ically after several seconds.
Perform a RESET
When pressing the „RESET" button (located inside the battery compartment, remove the cover
of the battery compartment) all settings will be reset.
After a RESET the solar radio projection clock automatically searches for the DCF time signal.
Please, place your solar radio projection clock for about 24 to 48 hours besides a window to
obtain a signal. After successfully receiving the DCF signal, an aerial symbol shows in the dis-
play as well as the indicator WAVE OK.
Maintenance and Cleaning
To clean the outside of the solar radio projection clock, a dry, soft clean cloth is sufficient.
Clean the clock very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any aggressive clean-
ing agents.
Disposal
a) In general
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Ordinance) to responsibly dispose of all used batter-
ies and rechargeable batteries; it is forbidden to throw them away with the normal house-
hold waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
batteries/coin cells are sold!
Hence you fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environ-
ment!
