• Open the choke valve again (lever horizontal) and let the engine warm up for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Attention!
If the choke flap remains closed for too long or too much fuel was pumped into the combustion chamber and
the crank housing, the mixture will over-fatten and the motor will flood. The cable pull starter can be operated
only with increased force. Refrain from further starting attempts and remove the excess fuel in order to
prevent damaging the cable pull starter and the engine!
Turn out the spark plug and pull the cable pull starter several times to do this. The excessive petrol mixture
is ejected from the cylinder and evaporated.
Figure 5 shows the setting screws for idling speed (S), the idling mixture (L) and the mixture adjustment screw for full
throttle (H). Their meaning and setting notes are explained in chapter 11.
Attention!
The setting screws S + L + H of the carburettor are already pre-set for the first run ex works and must not be
twisted for the first start.

e) The First Trip

When manoeuvring, observe that you do not have a reverse gear as in a car model, for example.
Since the boat has no centrifugal force clutch, the ship propeller turns once the motor is running. The boat
therefore starts moving immediately even at idling speed once it is placed in water. Therefore, ensure that
the remote control is working properly before a run.
Attention!
The ship propeller is very sharp-edged and may cause injury and/or property damage when handling, replacing
and in operation!
Avoid hectic steering movements. Otherwise, the model may capsize and can no longer be controlled. If the model
cannot be recovered in time, ingressing water may also cause the model to sink.
Operation is only permissible with the hull deck applied. For this, the hull deck must be sealed at the body with a few
strips of transparent tape before each run. Otherwise, splash water and water from capsizing may enter the boat and
destroy the remote control and drive parts (or the boat sinks) in spite of the seal already applied. Loss of guarantee/
warranty!
If the motor goes out (e.g. if the tank is empty), the boat can no longer be controlled, floats in the water and may be lost.
Therefore, ensure that there is always enough fuel in the tank.
Trips under detriment conditions such as strong wind and strong waves are not permissible and may cause loss of the
model.
If you notice any unusual noise or sudden rotating or model speed loss during operation, terminate operation at once
and find the reason. In most cases, seaweed or something similar will have become tangled in the ship's propeller,
which may impair or render the drive near ineffective. If operation is continued, this may destroy drive components.
Loss of guarantee/warranty!
Check the water cooling function before any voyage. For this, you may use a small hose to blow air into the water
cooling inlet (see figure 2, item 4). The air (or water in driving operation) must come out of the outlet installed at the
side in the boat's body again.
