Handling and Safety Instructions

General information

The FI- Tester has left our factory in compliance with all relevant
safety specifications. To preserve this state and to ensure safe ope-
ration of the device, the safety instructions and warnings of this
operating manual must be observed! Being an electronic device, the
FI- Tester is to be treated with all due caution and care. Non-com-
pliance with the instructions given or improper use may damage or
even destroy the product or other modules and devices that are
connected to the unit.
Possible health hazards!
If used properly, the FI- Tester does not represent a hazard to your
health.
Electric devices such as the FI- Tester must be kept out of reach of
children! If used in educational facilities and workshops, the use of
the Fl- tester is to be supervised by the teacher in charge. In industri-
al facilities, the safety regulations laid down by the professional trade
association for electrical equipment and facilities must be observed.
Ambient conditions
The FI- Tester is not protected against arcing over and must not be
used in industrial power installations. Do not use the Fl- Tester in
rooms or environments that could contain combustible or caustic
gases, fumes or dust. The device must not become damp or wet.
After the Fl- Tester has been brought from a cold into a warmer
room, it must not be taken into operation directly afterwards. Con-
densation water could destroy the device.
Avoid strong magnetic fields like existing in the vicinity of machines.
Handling the FI- Tester
Before using the device, always check it for possible damages. If a
defect is visible, use of the device must not be continued. Mainten-

Nach dem FI- Test gelangt man bei Tastendruck wieder zum Anfang
mit dem Steckdosentest.
Dieser FI- Tester besitzt eine LOWBAT Erkennung, d.h. er kann von
selbst erkennen, wenn die Batterien zu schwach werden. Der FI-
Tester überprüft in festen Zeitabständen den Zustand der Batterien.
Leere Batterien werden bei einer Spannung von ca. U < 4,2 V
erkannt; danach ist keine Programmfortführung möglich. Beim
nächsten Tastendruck schaltet sich das Gerät aus. In diesem Fall
erscheint am Display

' BATTERIE LEER! '

Der FI- Tester schaltet sich auch automatisch aus (AUTO POWER
OFF), wenn ca. 2 Minuten lang kein Tastendruck erfolgt, bzw. 2
Minuten nach dem letzten Tastendruck. Das Gerät kann man auch
ausschalten, indem man die Taste länger als ca. 2,5 Sekunden
drückt. Im Display erscheint
