Storing UPS systems/batteries

If you store the UPS system over a longer period of time, charge the
batteries every six months by connecting the UPS system to the
mains power supply. The internal batteries will charge up to 90% of
their capacity in less than three hours. ONLINE recommends charg-
ing the batteries for 48 hours after longer periods of storage (>3
months). If optional battery modules are installed, please refer to the
charging times in section "Technical Data".

When to replace batteries

The batteries must be replaced if the alarm signal can be heard and
the "Battery maintenance necessary" message appears. Please con-
tact your dealer or ONLINE to order new batteries.
7.5

Replacing batteries

Do not remove the batteries while the UPS system is running
in battery mode.
The hot-swap function, allows the batteries to be replaced without
switching off the UPS system and without having to disconnect the
connected loads.
If you would prefer to disconnect the UPS system from the mains be-
fore replacing the batteries, please read the "Switching off the UPS
system with mains power supply" section.
